VOTERS’ MEETING Monday, May 20, 2013 - 7:30 p.m.
Meeting called to order at 7:35 p.m. by Chairman Harold Gremel, Jr, with 46 members present. Pastor Hahn read a portion of Psalm 57 and gave the prayer, with special reference to those who suffered losses in the Moore, OK, tornado.

Trustees/Troy Strieter: A quote of $16,000 was received for upgrading the hardware and lighting for the church sanctuary. The old part of the church roof adjoining the bell tower has a leak. A quote of $27,000 with copper flashing was received for consideration. Other bell tower leaks were repaired at the contractor’s expense. The newer portion of the school roof needs replacing at a cost of $75,000. The Great Room roof and old school roof repairs are estimated at $15,000. A small reimbursement from the manufacturer will be realized for cost of shingles on the Great Room. All of these items are future projects in preparation for good maintenance of our facilities.

Evangelism/Don Stecker: No report
Sunday School/Jim Bunke: Last day of Sunday school was May 19. VBS will be at Immanuel this year from June 24-28, 9:11:30 a.m. Grades Preschool-Grade 5 are included with the theme, “Go Tell it On the Mountain”.
Youth & Family/Cindy Smith: Plans are moving forward for the National Youth Gathering in San Antonio, TX, June 29-July 6. Envelope fundraiser realized $3,200; the M & M Tubes netted $777.50. Thank you to all who supported the youth for this trip. Graduation reception will be Sunday, June 2, in the Great Room hosted by the OWLS. Youth room activities will be moved from the school to the church basement. Cindy will be stepping down for next year, as youth director and the Youth Board will be assuming monthly duties/activities. Pastor Hahn will fill in for devotions.
Principal/Athletic Report/Tim Neuman: CTK students scored high in the Iowa Basics testing. Students participated in the Lutheran Schools Music Festival at Bay City, led by Cindy Engelhard. Net profits from the CTK Auction were $103,000. Money is being allocated for chairs, lockers, computers, technology upgrades and a list of proposed items. Total disbursements have not yet been settled. Congratulations to the May 5th confirmation of Immanuel’s 8th graders.
Wednesday, May 29 is 8th grade graduation at CTK.
Friday, May 31, is the last day of school.
There will be a card shower following chapel for retiring teacher Dan Beringer. Dan has been in the teaching ministry 36 years. Ted Weiss has accepted the call to serve as 7th grade teacher.
Sunday, June 9, a farewell will be held for Dave Kumm in the Great Room.
The regional track meet was May 18. The State Track Meet will be June 1. The Tri-County Lutheran League has been re-aligned. We will now participate in the Eastern Conference next school year, on the larger side.
Ballots for Officers and Boards were distributed and voted upon.
Letters of appreciation were read from Seminarians Brian Hahn and Chad Smith thanking our congregation for the monetary support received through their respective seminaries.
A call list for a future administrator of CTK School was distributed. School Board recommended Royce Hartmann. Motion made, supported and approved to issue a call to him.
The 2013-2014 proposed budget was presented and members requested to ask questions regarding any of the future board expenses. After discussion budget was voted upon.
